Solo trip to Amsterdam

Thursday, January 7, 2016

My mom happily suggested that we could take a solo trip without Brynn. What better place to do that than Amsterdam. Yes, there are quite a few things for kids that I didn't think they would have, but it's definitely not the best place. It was so nice having an easy, fast pace trip since we were just there 2 days. We literally walked 19 miles and did everything possible during our time. Not going to lie, it was much easier without Brynn since we did so much in a short time. Although, we face timed her after 6 hours away and texted 30 minutes into our trip. We missed her every step of the way.

While in Amsterdam the major things we did were the Heineken tour, Anne Frank House, Dam Plaza, Sunset Canal Cruise, Red Light District(just to say we saw it) and FOOD, FOOD, FOOD! It's a must to eat at The Pancake Bakery when in Amsterdam. Must.eat.Poffertjes. They are small Dutch pancakes with butter and powdered sugar on them, delicious! Don't worry I again have tons of photos to let you in our wonderful little getaway.

Now, if you can, get there!

  3. It's obvious (based on your beautiful pics) that you had a great time and was able to see all the amazing Amsterdam sites and attractions. Your post makes me want to visit this city as well, hopefully around the middle of 2016.
